Mr. Makorovodo is an inspirational leader who tells stories that inspire action while at the same time is grounded in organisational policy information that levers the organisation. Respected as a credible voice in decision making and establishing governance boundaries. He also serves on the Zimbabwe Aids Network Board.
The ZNNP+ health/ medical expert, Prof. Munodawafa has immense clinical and community medicine background. In his renowned career, he worked at director-level and programme management level for the World Health Organisation (WHO) in several duty stations including in Congo Brazzaville and New Delhi, India. His focus areas included addressing health risk factors and key social determinants of health across priority public health conditions including emergencies/ disease outbreaks; community engagement to improve health literacy and ownership; strengthening public and private partnerships; good governance for health; and research, monitoring, evaluation, documentation and dissemination of evidence. Prof. Munodawafa has several journals under his name and has worked as researcher/ consultant for MSU on the recent Cyclone IDAI response in areas of health, agriculture, gender issues and psychosocial support; for World Health Organization in the areas of listeriosis outbreak response in South Africa, Cholera outbreak in Tanzania and Ebola Virus Disease Response in the 3 West African countries (Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone).
He has a Doctorate with a major in Health Promotion and Education and a minor in Public Administration/ Leadership Subordinate Relations from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, USA. He also attained a Masters in Health Education from the same university and a B. Sc. In Community Health Education from Kansas State University, USA. In the early 80’s Prof. Munodawafa graduated with a Nursing Diploma from the Harare Hospital School of Nursing, Zimbabwe.
The ZNNP+ legal expert, Mr. Deme is an accomplished NGO advisor with skills in compliance, constitutionality, and forensic audit. With more than a decade experience in highly regulated NGOs and companies, including Justice AIDS Trust, Mr. Deme has developed a deep expertise in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks as an NGO advisor to the boards and senior management, and has proven track record of leading compliance and legal functions. Mr. Deme has law firm experience and is a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe. Apart from attaining a legal qualification from the University of Zimbabwe and several human rights law certificates, Mr. Deme is progressing towards completion of ACCA, an accounting qualification.
The ZNNP+ Finance expert, Mr. Chamunorwa is a meticulous individual with strong accounting background and eleven years’ working experience in Accounting and Auditing. His past main areas of responsibility included reviewing and setting up Internal Controls and developing comprehensive risk based annual audit plans for Cotton Company of Zimbabwe and Delta. He is a holder of a Master of Commerce in Applied Accounting and an Honours Degree in Business Management and Finance (Hons.). Mr. Chamunorwa is cementing his expertise in financial matters with current studies in ACCA and a Masters Degree in Forensic Accounting and Forensic Auditing.
The ZNNP+ NGO expert, Mr. Mazhindu is both an excellent civil society operations expert and an opinion leader, who is frequently called upon for his knowledge of the organisation and HIV discourse. He leads mainly by example, always doing his best and encouraging others to do the same. While relaxed by nature, no one doubts his authority – he is direct and decisive when he needs to be. He is respected not only by his colleagues in the HIV sector but by several stakeholders including within the Ministry of Health and National AIDS Committee. He has a National Diploma from the Harare Polytechnic and certificates in Basic Counselling and HIV programming. Mr. Mazhindu has served as a past board member of ZNNP+ and carries vast institutional memory.
The ZNNP+ Human Resources expert, Mr. Samkange is a professionally qualified and proven Human Resources Practitioner. For over 30 years he gained vast successful management experience in large conglomerates, five of which in a green field environment and 12 at strategic management level. He has worked for the Anglo-American Corporation and is the current Human Resources Executive at Willowvale Motor Industries where he has proved his competency in linking company business strategic plans to Human Resources plans and strategies and actively championed learning and development strategies. Mr. Samkange has several board experiences including as Former President for Motor Industry Employers’ Association, Former Member of EMCOZ Labour Committee and Former Alternate Board Member of the Retrenchment Board. He has a BSc Politics and Administration, a Post- Graduate Diploma Pubic Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law (Conciliation & Arbitration) from the University of Zimbabwe, and an IPM (Z) Diploma among other qualifications.
